Volleyball Game Preview: Walnut Mustangs vs. Ayala Bulldogs + How To Watch

The Walnut Mustangs will head out to square off against the Ayala Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Ayala took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Walnut, who comes in off a win.

Walnut will bounce into Monday's match after beating Claremont, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Mustangs blew past the Wolfpack 3-0 on Wednesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Mustangs as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Walnut never let Claremont on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-12, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Ayala came up short against Glendora on Wednesday and fell 3-1.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-15, 21-25, 25-22.

Ayala has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-12 record this season. As for Walnut, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 11-15.

Walnut couldn't quite get it done against Ayala in their previous meeting back in September as they fell 3-1. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
