Football Recap: New Bedford Takes a Loss

New Bedford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Barnstable Red Hawks and fell 42-7. The Whalers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.

New Bedford's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Barnstable, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Looking ahead, New Bedford will square off against Bridgewater-Raynham at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans' defense has only allowed 14.6 points per game this season, so the Whalers' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Barnstable, they will host Dartmouth at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
