Basketball Game Preview: Avon Pirates vs. Tripp-Delmont/Armour Nighthawks

Avon is 8-2 against Tripp-Delmont/Armour since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Avon Pirates will face off against the Tripp-Delmont/Armour Nighthawks at 6:30 p.m. Avon will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, Avon slipped by Bridgewater/Emery 45-44.

Meanwhile, Tripp-Delmont/Armour beat Irene/Wakonda 48-37 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Nighthawks.

Avon's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-5. As for Tripp-Delmont/Armour, their win bumped their record up to 6-10.

Avon strolled past Tripp-Delmont/Armour when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a score of 63-49. The rematch might be a little tougher for Avon since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
