Recap: Chisholm Bluestreaks vs. Mountain Iron-Buhl Rangers
The Chisholm Bluestreaks lost against the Mountain Iron-Buhl Rangers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Chisholm took a hard 70-53 fall against Mountain Iron-Buhl. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Chisholm in their matchups with Mountain Iron-Buhl: they've now lost six in a row.
Rylen Niska continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Mountain Iron-Buhl, scoring 29 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. Those eight rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Chris King was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with six rebounds.
Chisholm's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Mountain Iron-Buhl, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chisholm will take on Walker-Hackensack-Akeley at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Walker-Hackensack-Akeley is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. As for Mountain Iron-Buhl, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Fond du Lac Ojibwe O at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th. Fond du Lac Ojibwe O will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings (they are ranked 359th, while Mountain Iron-Buhl is ranked 157th).
