If North was feeling good fresh off their 59-17 takedown of Wagener-Salley on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The North Eagles fell just short of the Philip Simmons Iron Horses by a score of 48-45 on Saturday. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, North still got an impressive performance from Kailen Parks, who posted 22 points in addition to eight steals and five assists. That was a full 48.9% of North's points, marking the third time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points. Angionna Hook was another key player, putting up a point along with seven rebounds and five steals.

Philip Simmons was led to victory by Germany Moore and Marshall Love. Moore dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 boards, while Love had seven points. Those points were Love's first of the season.

North's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Philip Simmons, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-11.

North didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 59-31 victory against Calhoun County on the 24th. As for Philip Simmons, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 43-40 defeat against Timberland on the 20th.
