Baseball Recap: Five Straight Road Victories for North Johnston

While North Johnston put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Spring Creek. The Panthers were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Gators. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Gators recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Daniel Turner made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over six innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

In other batting news, Cooper Hall was a standout: he scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tyler Coates, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

North Johnston's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.8 runs over those games. As for Spring Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Looking ahead, North Johnston will square off against Wilson Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Spring Creek, they will face off against Faith Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
