Basketball Recap: Kinstin Henthorn Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Danville

Cardington-Lincoln won the last time they faced Danville and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Cardington-Lincoln Pirates took down the Danville Blue Devils 44-27. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 333rd, while the Blue Devils are ranked 718th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cardington-Lincoln's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kinstin Henthorn, who went 5 for 11 en route to 15 points and four steals. Henthorn has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Abigail Hardwick was another key player, going 6 of 14 on her way to 13 points and four steals.

Cardington-Lincoln has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Danville, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-14.

Cardington-Lincoln will head out to face off against Northmor at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. Cardington-Lincoln is facing Northmor at the right time seeing as Northmor is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Danville, they will host Fredericktown at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
