Baseball Recap: Alma Comes Up Short

Alma was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Freeland Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Tuesday.

Rocco Holiday made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

Alma's loss dropped their record down to 10-10-1. As for Freeland, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-4.

As of now, neither Alma nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
