Softball Recap: Foothill Takes a Loss

Foothill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rosamond Roadrunners. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Trojans have suffered since March 13, 2024.

Foothill's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Rosamond, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8.

Foothill will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Chavez at 4:00 p.m. on April 7. As for Rosamond, they will square off against Frazier Mountain at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Frazier Mountain has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.8 runs per game on average), something Rosamond will no doubt try to take advantage of.
