Basketball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Marion County's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

Marion County won the last time they faced Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences, and Chrysia Timmis did her part to make sure it happened again. The Marion County Warriors took their match on Thursday with ease, bagging a 66-17 win over the Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences Patriots thanks in part to Timmis, who went 11 for 14 on her way to 25 points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Marion County is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 39 points. As for Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences, they dropped their record down to 0-12 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
