Basketball Recap: Edgewood Comes Up Short

Edgewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Lake Mills L-Cats, falling 68-25. The matchup marked the Crusaders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Edgewood's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Lake Mills, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edgewood will take on Baraboo at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Baraboo knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Edgewood likes a good challenge. As for Lake Mills, they will face off against Poynette at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
