Baseball Recap: Harrison Central Victorious

Harrison Central won the last time they faced D'Iberville and things went their way on Tuesday too. Harrison Central had just enough and edged out D'Iberville 5-3. That's two games straight that the Red Rebels have won by exactly two runs.

Jaxson Moore spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Harrison Central is 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 3-9 otherwise.

At the plate, Bubba Harris was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. Tre Hanshaw also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Harrison Central's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-10. As for D'Iberville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Harrison Central will have a chance to go back-to-back against D'Iberville: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
