Templeton waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Santa Maria Saints. For Templeton, this counts as revenge for the 4-1 loss Santa Maria walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March.
Colby Sims spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits.
At the plate, Luke Stetz was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Kohen Sizemore was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
On Santa Maria's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Able Mata, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI.
