Preview: Arlington Tigers vs. Cordova Wolves
Arlington is 10-0 against Cordova since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Arlington Tigers will look to defend their home court against the Cordova Wolves at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Arlington focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, everything went Arlington's way against Germantown as Arlington made off with a 52-29 victory. The win was just what Arlington needed coming off of a 65-25 loss in their prior matchup.
Arlington found their leader in underclassman Zaria Moss, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Miller, who scored nine points along with six assists and two steals.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 76-28, which was the final score in Cordova's tilt against Houston on Tuesday. Cordova has not had much luck with Houston recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Arlington's win bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Cordova, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.
Everything came up roses for Arlington against Cordova in their previous matchup two weeks ago as the team secured a 61-29 win. Does Arlington have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cordova turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
