Baseball Recap: Spotsylvania Makes It Seven in a Row at Home

Spotsylvania hadn't done well against Courtland recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Knights came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cougars, sneaking past 1-0. The one-run effort marked the Knights' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Spotsylvania secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Austin Harris, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Spotsylvania pushed their record up to 15-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Courtland, they now have a losing record of 10-11-1.
