Soccer Game Preview: Casteel vs. Perry

The Casteel Colts will challenge the Perry Pumas at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Casteel comes in on 15 and Perry on four.

Casteel is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Notre Dame Prep a 4-0 shutout. The Colts might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by four goals or more this season.

They hit Notre Dame Prep with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Landri Steenhard, Alexandra Anger, Tatum Gardner, and Kajun Skinner.

Meanwhile, Perry faced Highland in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Perry skirted past Highland 2-1. Two seems to be a good number for the Pumas as the team scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Perry pushed their record up to 13-6 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those eight contests. As for Casteel, their win bumped their record up to 22-1.

Casteel beat Perry 2-0 when the teams last played back in January. Will Casteel repeat their success, or does Perry have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
