Baseball Recap: Stillwater Comes Up Short

Stillwater fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against East Ridge on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 7-3 to the Raptors. The Ponies were not able to make up for their loss to the Raptors from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Karson Foster was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Jack Runk was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Another player making a difference was AJ Levy, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Stillwater's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for East Ridge, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stillwater will take on Two Rivers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for East Ridge, they will square off against Park at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
