Volleyball Recap: Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] Takes a Loss

Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] lost against Doniphan West back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cyclones fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 2-1. The Cyclones have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 26-24, 19-25, 25-20.

Riverside [Wathena/Elwood]'s defeat dropped their record down to 6-14-2. As for Doniphan West, their victory ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 12-11.

Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 0-0 tie against Oskaloosa on the 7th. As for Doniphan West, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Topeka on the 4th.
