The Ansonia Tigers will head out to take on the National Trail Blazers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ansonia is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.
Ansonia's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They walked away with a 4-0 win over Bradford. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Railroaders: they've now won three in a row.

Not much got past Bre Walker, who gave up just three hits and racked up six Ks to keep Bradford off the board. Walker has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Ansonia let Lillian Perry and Shyann McKenna run wild. Perry went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI, while McKenna went 1-for-3 with one home run. That's the most stolen bases Perry has posted since back in April. Avalyn Locke was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.
Ansonia was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They are 8-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, National Trail won against New Miami on Friday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Blazers didn't even let Belmont on the board, marking the Blazers' second-straight 12-0 shutout. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blazers.
Katie Wyatt looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Taylor Reynolds, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Carley Hamm, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.
The win got Ansonia back to even at 10-10. As for National Trail, their record is now 9-14.
National Trail's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Ansonia hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .366. It's a different story for National Trail, though, as they've only averaged .254. Will they be able to contain Ansonia's hitters?
Everything went Ansonia's way against National Trail in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Ansonia made off with a 10-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
