Baseball Recap: Firebaugh Takes a Loss

Firebaugh lost to Mendota back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles lost 13-7 to the Aztecs. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ronnie Leyva made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Emmanuel Bautista also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Firebaugh's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Mendota, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season.

Firebaugh didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-4 victory against Coalinga on the 28th. As for Mendota, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 11-5 win against Tranquillity on the 27th.
