Basketball Recap: Berlin Piles Up the Points Against Newfound Regional

Berlin won the last time they faced Newfound Regional and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Berlin Mountaineers blew past the Newfound Regional Bears 59-19. The Mountaineers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Berlin has also been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.2 points per game. As for Newfound Regional, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berlin will host St. Thomas Aquinas at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Thomas Aquinas will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something Berlin surely won't give up without a fight. As for Newfound Regional, they will welcome Belmont at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Newfound Regional is facing Belmont at the right time seeing as Belmont is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
