Basketball Recap: Mitchell County Eagles vs. Pelham Hornets
Mitchell County lost against Pelham two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mitchell County Eagles took a 53-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pelham Hornets. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Mitchell County saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Adrianna Burke went 8 of 14 en route to 20 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Akiria Sessions, who posted six points and 12 rebounds.
