Baseball Game Preview: Evergreen Plainsmen vs. Mountain View Thunder

For the second straight game, Evergreen will face off against Mountain View. The Plainsmen will welcome the Thunder at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Evergreen is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Evergreen didn't have quite enough to beat Mountain View and fell 5-4.

For Mountain View's part, Caleb Long looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Long has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Brody Fellows was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Logan Josephsen, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Mountain View is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Evergreen, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.
