Recap: Hixson Wildcats vs. Red Bank Lions
It was a good run, but The Hixson Wildcats unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They were outmatched by Red Bank at home and fell 34-7. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hixson in their matchups with Red Bank: they've now lost five in a row.
Chase Barnard threw for 68 yards on nine of 18 attempts. Tariq Reese was his top target, picking up 36 receiving yards and no touchdowns. On the ground, Ronald Suttles picked up three receiving yards and no touchdowns.
Hixson's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Red Bank, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hixson will face off against East Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. East Ridge will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Red Bank, they will head out on the road to face off against Loudon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Loudon is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
