Softball Recap: Edgewater Comes Up Short

Edgewater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Bishop Moore Hornets, falling 16-1. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Hornets from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Edgewater's record now sits at 0-6. As for Bishop Moore, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edgewater will welcome Celebration at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Edgewater's pitchers better be ready for this one: Celebration has averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Bishop Moore, they will host Winter Park at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
