Basketball Recap: Genoa Christian Academy vs. Granville Christian Academy
In what's become a running theme this season, Genoa Christian Academy gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Granville Christian Academy 47-13 at home. The victory was familiar territory for Genoa Christian Academy who now have four in a row.
Leah Kinley was her usual excellent self, scoring 15 points along with eight assists and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played. Another player making a difference was Avery Norman, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Granville Christian Academy struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Genoa Christian Academy racked up 13 assists.
Genoa Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Granville Christian Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Genoa Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Flames at 2:30 p.m. on February 3rd. As for Granville Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Madison Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday.
