Softball Recap: Metuchen Comes Up Short

Metuchen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 13-2 to the South Plainfield Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-1 on April 4th.

Metuchen saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kathryn Morano, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double. That run was Morano's first of the season.

Metuchen's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for South Plainfield, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Metuchen will square off against Monroe Township at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Plainfield, they will face off against St. Thomas Aquinas at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
