Recap: Glasgow Scotties vs. Franklin-Simpson Wildcats
This season hasn't been kind to the Glasgow Scotties, who are still winless after their fourth matchup. They were dealt a 66-31 defeat at the hands of Franklin-Simpson on Saturday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Glasgow in their matchups with Franklin-Simpson: they've now lost four in a row.
It was another big night for LaReesha Cawthorn, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 14 rebounds for Franklin-Simpson. Those 14 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Katelyn Mcalister, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Glasgow's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Franklin-Simpson, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glasgow will take on Russellville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Russellville is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Franklin-Simpson, they will be playing at home against Warren East at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kentucky (Warren East is ranked 34th, while Franklin-Simpson is ranked 22nd).
