If Early wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Peaster, they should've done a better job of containing Kyler Shirley. The Greyhounds were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Longhorns on Friday with plenty of help from Shirley, who had 14 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played.

One reason for the win was Peaster's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-16, 25-15.

The win made it two in a row for Peaster and bumps their season record up to 22-12-1. As for Early, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-3.

Peaster will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Tolar at 5:30 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Early, they will welcome Comanche at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
