Basketball Recap: Wewahitchka Comes Up Short

Wewahitchka lost against Poplar Springs on January 13th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wewahitchka Gators took a blow against the Poplar Springs Atomics, falling 54-21.

Wewahitchka has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Poplar Springs, their win bumped their record up to 4-17.

Wewahitchka wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 45-28 defeat against Liberty County on the 29th. Poplar Springs has also already played their next contest, a 33-16 victory against St. John Paul II on the 30th.
