Preview: Rosewood Eagles vs. East Duplin Panthers
The Rosewood Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the East Duplin Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Duplin took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Rosewood, who comes in off a win.
Winning is just a little bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 15 to 8 on the offensive boards, a fact Rosewood proved on Wednesday. They walked away with a 58-50 win over Southside.
Rosewood can attribute much of their success to Julius Coltrane, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of David Lamm, who scored 13 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds.
Meanwhile, East Duplin ended up a good deal behind North Duplin on Friday and lost 67-53. East Duplin has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, East Duplin got a solid performance out of Calvin Harper, who scored 28 points along with 6 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Zachary Ball, who scored 5 points along with 7 rebounds.
The victory got Rosewood back to even at 1-1. As for East Duplin, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
