Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fruitdale). They strolled past the Leroy Bears with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 48-30. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Pirates as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Fruitdale's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 3-8. As for Leroy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fruitdale will square off against Southern Choctaw at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Leroy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against McIntosh at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
