Volleyball Recap: Old Mill Patriots vs. Glenelg Gladiators
Old Mill had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Glenelg Gladiators on Wednesday. The victory was nothing new for the Patriots as they're now sitting on four straight.
While Old Mill might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Glenelg scored at least 21 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-21, 25-22.
Despite the loss, Glenelg still got an impressive performance from Olivia Mcdonough, who had 16 digs. Mcdonough is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 16 or more in the last three games she's played.
Old Mill's win bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Glenelg, their loss dropped their record down to 20-4.
Old Mill will head out to take on Northern at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Northern will roll in looking for their 18th straight victory, something Old Mill surely won't give up without a fight. Glenelg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
