Softball Recap: Fairfield Takes a Loss

Fairfield managed to slip by Washington the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Trojans lost 17-11 to the Demons on Thursday. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Fairfield's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 10-10. As for Washington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairfield will welcome Regina at 11:45 a.m. on Friday. As for Washington, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Fort Madison at 5:30 p.m.
