Basketball Recap: King Comes Up Short

King was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They took a hard 59-40 fall against the Robstown Cottonpickers. The Brahmas were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cottonpickers from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

King's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Robstown, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-11 record this season.

King will challenge Calallen at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Robstown, they will host Zapata at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Robstown's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Zapata has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
