Soccer Recap: Roosevelt Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Roosevelt's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Gate Rams on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Rough Riders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 736th, while the Rams are ranked 264th).

Roosevelt has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10-2 record this season. As for South Gate, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-5-3.

Roosevelt has already played their next game, a 3-3 draw against Legacy on the 3rd. As for South Gate, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Garfield on the 3rd.
