Basketball Recap: Make It Seven in a Row for Rushford-Peterson

Rushford-Peterson entered their tilt with Fillmore Central on Friday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They breezed by the Fillmore Central Falcons to the tune of 86-39. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Falcons are ranked 283rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rushford-Peterson's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Fillmore Central, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Rushford-Peterson and Lanesboro will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Rushford-Peterson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matches -- so hopefully Lanesboro likes a good challenge.
