Baseball Recap: Rolesville Finds Home Field Redemption Against Sanderson

There's no place like home for Rolesville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Sanderson Spartans on Wednesday by a score of 7-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The Rams haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Carter Steelman tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk).

At the plate, Rolesville got a massive performance out of Austin Leicht, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance gave Leicht a new career-high in runs. Carter DeSilva was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Rolesville's record now sits at 3-4. As for Sanderson, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.
