Softball Recap: Hackberry Extends Winning Streak to Four

Hackberry came tearing into Tuesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Elton Indians with a sharp 14-4 victory. Considering the Mustangs have won six contests by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Hackberry pushed their record up to 9-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.8 runs over those games. As for Elton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.

Looking ahead, Hackberry will face off against Hornbeck at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight. Elton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
