Basketball Recap: Dominic Alepra's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Carlinville over Vandalia

Carlinville played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Vandalia Vandals, falling 65-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Cavaliers have suffered since December 3, 2024.

Several Cavaliers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dominic Alepra, who posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was Tate Duckels, who earned six points and six boards.

Carlinville's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Vandalia, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-14 record this season.

Carlinville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 52-39 defeat against North Mac on the 7th. As for Vandalia, they have also already played their next contest, a 51-49 loss against Southwestern on the 7th.
