Soccer Game Preview: North Lamar vs. Paris

North Lamar hasn't had much luck against Paris recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the North Lamar challenge the Paris at 7:15 p.m.

North Lamar is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Pittsburg on Monday. North Lamar fell just short of Pittsburg by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 512th, while the Pirates are ranked 178th).

Meanwhile, Paris entered their tilt with Mount Vernon on Saturday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 4-2 victory over the Tigers. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Wildcats were the better team in the second half.

Paris' win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for North Lamar, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.
