Baseball Game Preview: Mosley Dolphins vs. Farragut Admirals

The Mosley Dolphins will be taking part in a tournament against the Farragut Admirals at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mosley is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

Mosley had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt McMinn Central on Tuesday. Mosley put the hurt on McMinn Central with a sharp 9-2 victory. The Dolphins not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since February 25th.

Christian Zediker looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in February.

At the plate, Xavier Demro was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Peyton Williams, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Farragut is ranked highly in their home state and on Monday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Buchholz. Farragut fell just short of Buchholz by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Admirals have suffered since March 15, 2024.

The win got Mosley back to even at 7-7. As for Farragut, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
