Baseball Recap: Joliet Central Comes Up Short

Joliet Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 26th straight loss. They lost 11-4 to the Plainfield South Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, with their most recent defeat being a 5-0 loss on Tuesday.

Andrew Nixon and Liam Ganzer stepped up to the plate in a big way. Nixon went 2-for-4 with three RBI, while Ganzer went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Joliet Central's defeat dropped their record down to 4-29. As for Plainfield South, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-16 record this season.

As of now, neither Joliet Central nor Plainfield South have any future games scheduled.
