Softball Recap: Union Mine Comes Up Short

Union Mine couldn't beat Bradshaw Christian on Thursday even though they stacked five runs on them in the third inning. The Diamondbacks fell just short of the Pride by a score of 10-9. The Diamondbacks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pride earlier this season, when they won 9-8.

This is the second loss in a row for Union Mine and nudges their season record down to 3-9. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 13-3 Argonaut (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 62.7% over those games). As for Bradshaw Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-9-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Union Mine is set to take on their familiar foe Rosemont at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Bradshaw Christian will challenge rival Argonaut at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
