Volleyball Recap: Tracy Bulldogs vs. Granite Bay Grizzlies
Tracy and Granite Bay squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Tracy had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Granite Bay Grizzlies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2021.
Tracy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-13, 25-16, 26-24.
Gaby Hernandez paced Tracy's offense, picking up 12 kills. Hernandez got some help from
Alyssa Rupisan and her 14 assists. Rupisan was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.
Tracy now has a losing record at 14-15. As for Granite Bay, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 15-17.
Tracy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Granite Bay, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Lodi on the 31st.
