While Chippewa Hills's victory against Reed City wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors had just enough and edged out the Coyotes 12-11 on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on four straight.
Ella Newman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
In other batting news, Erin Riesenberg was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Marfio, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
