Charlotte Latin won the last time they faced Charlotte Christian and Ryan Burrell did her part to make sure it happened again. The Hawks came out on top against the Knights by a score of 3-1 on Thursday with plenty of help from Burrell, who had 26 digs and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 16 or more in each of the last 12 games she's played.

Charlotte Latin had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 13-25, 25-13, 25-19, 25-12.

Holden Gore and Bella Eudy certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Gore had 22 digs and two assists, while Eudy had 11 assists and five digs.

Charlotte Latin's record is now 23-1. As for Charlotte Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7.

Looking ahead, Charlotte Latin will square off against Carmel Christian at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in the Hawks' favor as the squad sits on 12 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while the Cougars have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. As for Charlotte Christian, they will take on Covenant Day at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
