Baseball Recap: Council Grove Takes a Loss

Council Grove fell victim to Osage City and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 7-0 to the Indians. It was the first time this season that the Braves let down their fans at home.

Council Grove's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 8-2. As for Osage City, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Council Grove will face off against Trinity Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Osage City, they will venture away from home to face off against Baldwin at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
