Basketball Game Preview: Leeds Greenwave vs. Moody Blue Devils

Leeds hasn't had much luck against Moody recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Greenwave will welcome the Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. Moody took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Leeds, who comes in off a win.

Leeds took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They walked away with a 45-38 win over St. Clair County. The Greenwave haven't had any issues with the Fighting Saints recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Moody suffered their biggest loss since November 22, 2024 on Monday. They lost 77-52 to Chelsea. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while the Hornets are ranked 16th).

Leeds' win bumped their record up to 7-18. As for Moody, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-11.

Leeds was taken down by Moody 71-30 when the teams last played back in January. Can the Greenwave avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
