Anson entered their tilt with Monroe on Monday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Redhawks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Anson was: they took every set by at least 15 points. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-10, 25-9.

Leading Anson to victory were Hannah Austin and Emma Beam. Austin had 13 digs and two assists, while Beam had four aces and two assists. Those four aces gave Beam a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Anson was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in eight consecutive matchups.

Anson's win bumped their record up to 18-2. As for Monroe, they dropped their record down to 1-20 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Anson will head out to face off against Piedmont at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Monroe, they will be playing at home against Forest Hills at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
